Quest for Turkey Vulture photos
Starting to work my way in on a close Turkey Vulture photo. I started out by finding several rock bluffs where I have seen them resting, getting a few photos and then slowly moving the cameras closer.
This rock pinnacle shows the bird well but the bird droppings or should I say the runs on the side of the rock take away from the photo.
I've moved them closer and hope within a week to have several more photos.

I'd say those are quite respectable pictures of roosting turkey vultures. Good work.
Some of these rock bluffs are difficult to get on without climbing. Had to make a several mile hike through the timber and brush to get on top.
I changed the angle and got closer on the second photo and hope to show more of the country and sky line. Seems hard to find the best background when the cameras are aimed due south.
