Nikon Wood duck picture

This picture is from my 6 meg Nikon I set out on a pond for ducks. Thought this turned out nice so will try to put it on in high resolution for a screen saver.

The Nikon takes great pictures and are easy to crop and still maintain high quality. The difference between it and my 6 meg Sony 600 is the Nikon takes pictures at 300 dpi and the Sony at 72 dpi. Quite a difference when you want an 8x10 print.
All my photos are copyrighted, but occasionally I will leave one at high resolution for a screensaver for animal lovers.
Thanks,
Cliff
I just checked the size of the picture, and it is plenty big enough for a screen saver. Just click on the photo and it will show it in regular size, then right click and then save as. This will put it into your photo program.

Clear picture now - Nutria

Cleaned the glass on the case so I'm ready for the mink, but only got 2 pictures of a Nutria. Pictures did come out clear and what a rat type of animal.

I still like this location but think the mink might try and go around the camera, just wait and see.

Log setup for mink a little blurry

I saw a lot of mink and older otter sign on this log in the middle of a swamp, so set a cam up for a night picture. Took two weeks but finally have a couple pictures of the mink, but they were blurry. Seems I hadn't cleaned the glass on the case for a while and it had a light film on it, just enough to make the pictures blurry.

Set the Nikon up for ducks

When I went to set out the Nikon, the water was higher than my boots from all the rain we've had over the last several days. I took 2, 6 foot pieces of pipe to drive into the mud, then slid my bracket into the pipes so I could get the camera placed over the water.

It was a muddy and wet job but I think it is solid.

Wood duck closeup

Seems I can only get pictures of wood ducks lately. Lots of rain and over 1000 pictures of ducks the last two weeks.

First Wood Duck of the year

Cameras have been on ponds for several weeks and finally got some wood ducks. Haven't seen many ducks on the ponds yet this year, maybe it's a little early.

Beaver on a scent mound

I set this up for ducks but aimed it over a beaver scent mound or sometimes called a pushup they make to mark their territory. This gives me several chances for different animals, those at night and ducks during the day.

Time for some Ducks

Finally finding some time to get a few cameras out in the woods. This time of the year I always like to set a few around the ponds for ducks and have been working really hard to get some pictures of Bufflehead ducks. I see them when setting out my cameras but to get a picture up close is very difficult.

This is a pair of Mallards on one of the ponds.
